Our Therapeutic Approach

Compassion Counseling Collaborative is dedicated to providing a safe, affirming, caring healing environment for all humans regardless of the color of your skin, your culture or religion, your race or creed, who you love, how you identify, what abilities or disabilities you have, your socioeconomic level, your citizenship status, or any other components of your identity.

 

We believe that each and every person has inherent value and worth simply because they exist and that all people deserve to have their full authentic selves seen, heard, and robustly supported.

We strive to be actively anti-racist, to be allies and advocates for the LBGTQ+ community, and to acknowledge and affirm neurodiversity across the spectrums of human experience.

We maintain that each client brings to therapy a wealth of inner resources that they have simply not yet developed the skills to access, and that we as the clinicians do not save people or solve problems but rather provide the space that facilitates the challenging inner work of healing and growth.

We commit to using evidence based treatment through a client-centered lens to empower the identification and pursuit of treatment goals that are truly aligned with each person's individualized values and ideas of optimum wellness.

We acknowledge that barriers to treatment due to scarcity of resources (time, money, etc.) especially as it relates to healthcare access is a true and present threat that is even more likely to impact marginalized populations, and we do what we can to remove those barriers where possible.

We respect the power of community and relationships, and consider the honor of being in the business of human connection and collaboration and having the opportunity to support each client on their unique journey to be a sacred privilege.
